Hi, I’m Benita!

I’m a junior at Penn State Behrend, studying marketing with an interest in data analytics. Outside of school, I work as a ski instructor and enjoy teaching others how to ski. I also sail for the Penn State Behrend Sailing Team, which is part of the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA). We race against other colleges in sailing regattas throughout the year. I also enjoy outdoor activities, such as longboarding, skiing, and snowboarding, and finding great places to hammock.

Past Internship Experience

Paramount Pursuits

Paramount Pursuits supports local entrepreneurs, helping them launch their small businesses. I collaborated with clients and the Paramount Pursuits team, creating social media campaigns, designing flyers and social media assets, building websites, creating educational materials, and conducting market research.

Acoustic Sheep

The founders of Acoustic Sheep created the SleepPhone®, a specially designed music headband for sleep. My role as marketing intern consisted of a more PR-based role, sending PR pitches to journalists who were likely to write about our product. My work helped to increase PR hits by approximately 75% in 2022.
